On today’s menu: I’ve f*****g had enough (and that’s been profound)
The Body
I’ve finally arrived at that point…
The point where I’ve f******g had enough.
You’ve been there, right?
There’s a problem you’re faced with again and again — sometimes that you’ve put up with for years.
Then, like f******g magic, one day, you just can’t take anymore.
You have that moment — as Tony Robbins describes — where you say to yourself,
“Not another day, not another hour. I’m changing this now.”
And if you haven’t, well, those are the moments of breakthrough we are all looking for in one aspect of life or another, aren’t they?
I’ve had a few of those moments in my life.
And it’s where I’m at when it comes to my body now.
Years of injuries. Of aches and pains. Not feeling confident that my body can perform the way I want. Of being held back from doing what I want.
I’m done with it all.
I’m tired of the feelings of frustration that comes with not being able to use my body like I should.
I’m fed up with watching other people push and reach their full physical potential while I’m being held back.
And I’m absolutely f*****g sick of reading about how strong, adaptable and amazing the human body is when I don’t feel that way about my own.
So, I’ve decided I’m not putting up with this s**t anymore.
I’m reclaiming what should rightfully be mine:
A strong, adaptable and fully functioning body that’s capable of awesome s**t
But what led to this sudden decision?
Nothing.
The problem hasn’t changed.
My feelings of frustration aren’t any different from before.
There wasn’t a single moment that forced to me to change.
And that, I think, is the most interesting and profound part of this whole thing.
Breakthrough moments — where you decide to change or take responsibility in a way you never have before — often don’t come from a particular moment.
You just make a decision and, more importantly, take action on the back of it.
Imagine that?
You’re actually capable of profound change at any moment.
At any moment you can simply decide to take full responsibility for whatever you are faced with and charge at the problem with full force.
No epiphany. No rock bottom moment. No magic insights
None of it.
Just a real decision to do things differently — that’s all that’s required.
And sometimes, even after we experience this first hand, we seem to forget this — we willingly give away the power that we have to enact meaningful change.
But that’s the power of these reminders — for me and you who happen to be reading this.
So, whatever you might be faced with now, you can make a decision to change, to take charge and do things differently.
You have that f******g power.
So, I would ask you now:
What’s a decision you can make right now that would fundamentally change your life?
